There Are Days
There are days where I wish
I can just escape
Away from my life,
Away from this awful pain
There are days when I look at myself
And think what a disgrace
Full of heart-broken hate
Full of pain that can’t escape
There are days when I hate the reflection
Shown in the mirror
I wish she were better
I wish she didn’t look that way
There are days where I grab the blade
Wishing I could just cut myself
I want to rid this pain
I want to embrace the sorrow
There are days when I burry myself
In a deep dark hole
I need the isolation
I need to let out the depression
There are days when I cry
Myself to sleep
Have to feel something
Have to break down and weep
There are days when I wish
Someone was here
To make me feel better
To make me find the one I used to be
There are days when I think
I’m going to just give in
There is no end
There is just this left for me
There are days when I see
My true inner beauty
And I think that’s not me
Because the pain has has shattered her, and has become the new me.
