All alone I sit in school
No one to turn to, nowhere to go
I’ve been hiding myself
From you and from the world I live in
The times I spent with you are long gone
Far away, but still engraved in my soul

I thought you were the one
The one to be with me till this day
But no, you left me when you found another

We were so close, but you disappeared
You were the best thing that has ever happened to me
The day we met was a day to remember
You sitting alone during recess, looking for a friend to come
I, myself all lonely, sat with you while everyone else played
We didn’t know what to say, but we quickly became close

Every recess we spent together
Was a bonding that could never be broken
We were there for each other
And we got each other’s back
In the ups and downs in our life

We fought, we cried, we laughed, we danced
We were never apart, we were always together
You were like no other friend I’ve had
You were never a mistake or regret
You never had me worry just one bit
You held me tight
You loved me for me
Your one friend that’s hard to find

I told you that you meant the world to me
I guess you understood me
But that thought was wrong

We shared our secrets together
We created so many memories
Now my heart is left with regret
I thought I wouldn’t have

I didn't want to lose you
I tried my best to save you
Sorry for even caring
That’s just who I am

Why’d you leave me?
For that girl who had everything
Materials to boys
I had better things than her
I was true, I was real
I was the honest, I live in reality

Our bond was like no other
But you picked a fake over the truth, but all you did, just replacing.
You hurt me so bad you’ll never know,
The pain I keep inside I will never show
You'd probably see it if you tried
And see all the times I cried at night
But don't worry I'll be fine
I'm not the one who left friends behind
With a memory of shattered thoughts engraved in my mind
