The Walk
While walking through the avenue,
I glance to view if I'm being pursued,
By some esoteric identity,
Whose conation is delinquency,
To my appeasement no one I find,
But still heinous thoughts plague my mind,
Every shadow arouses a shiver,
Aloof sounds make me quiver,
So I hasten my stride,
Expeditiously barging inside,
Into my domicile where I'll be safe and sound...
For now.
