Her temporal lobe claims the name Alexa
But her pride props her chin up,
For she is generator of bizarre dreams,
As lethargy gets the best of the
Fainéant of ambitious purpose.
“All things lovely” –
Fill a mason jar in her corpus amygdaloideum,
So says she.
Get to know her –
Stay awhile,
Sip your freshly brewed tea slowly
As she relates her love for lace and sunshine
And the rolled up sleeves of raincoats.
Map out the valley of melancholies,
East of the snow-capped delights
In the far away land of her cerebrum.
And dip your toes in the salty sea
Of half-begun prose
And half-erased poetry.
