Lens of Reality
We are here, and this is now.
your eyes will never scan the water in quite the same fashion.
they will never fix upon the full moon with as much gratitude
for something bigger than our thoughts combined.
The trance that accompanies the rush of water
will never propel you in the same direction,
or inspire the chill that leaks down your spine
and tingles in your toes.
Nothing will touch you as the song of the night does,
With it’s secrets revealed by the silence of the wind.
Here and now, the world is stripped to its roots,
bare and exposed to the lens of a camera,
bare and exposed to the eye of your mind.
Time is tucked away, a tiny thought folded into the corner of your universe,
Manipulated, until you release it,
then it’s as free as the thoughts
that brought you here.
