These eyes are usually squinted
Accompanied with a false, convincing grin
So neatly painted with the perception of beauty.
It’s funny how times have changed—
How creating imperfections such as drawing on beauty marks was once a trend
Whereas nowadays Botox and silicone are used to disguise the slightest variations.

Just be yourself,right?
The mirror is their enemy; the reflection is their fear.
Peoples’ compliments don’t correspond with the monster staring back.
“You look gorgeous!” What an obligation.
If only these eyes agreed.
They burn deep, smoldering wounds of longing through Seventeen’s new March issue.
How come the reality of thunder thighs and love-handle hips don’t exist with in these pages of expectations?
“Love yourself for everything you are and nothing less.”
“Acceptance is key.”
Certain things can be said with such ease.
