Brave soldier

Brave soldier out there all alone,
all he can think about is his family
back home.
His brave little girl, his wonderful wife,
It occurs to him how fast all of that
can be blown away.
His entire life gone,
but not erased
His wife would be lost without him
His daughter would be broken without a father.
The guilt rushes through him as he thinks about his daughter
her laughter, her mothers deep blue eyes, and her adorable smile.
out there all alone, he realizes he doesn't want them
to be without him by their side.
He will make sure he gets home to his family alive.
Brave soldier out there all alone.
All he can think about is how he
will return to his family back home.

This really impacted me, reminded me of my cousin, his new wife, and his new daughter. Keep it up, it's really powerful.

This made me cry because of the personal aspect. I'm going through almost the same thing. My older brother just joined the marines... I love this poem and im rating 5/5.

I like the line: "His entire life gone, but not erased." Being brave is not easy, and this poem reminds us of the fact.
