Gazing at the stars,
Dreaming my dreams,
Thinking of things,
And stitching seams.

Overriding the despair,
My glass is half full.
Brightening my life,
I make things less dull.

Grass is always greener
On the other side.
Sometimes switching things up
Can make life a joyful ride.

Come with me on this Adventure;
We'll do our best.
We can find life's hidden treasures,
And push away all the rest.

The author's comments:
This poem is about rising up out of depressing times. It's about finding who you are, and ridding of everything negative in your life. I wrote this when everything seemed to be ending for me. I had no hope at the time. One night, I made a change. As a reminder that not everything is over, I wrote this poem.
