Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
Mahatma Gandhi

She dreamed that she flew as high as a plane, higher
Banking and soaring in the crisp, cold air that rushed all around her
Her wings that sprung out of her back swept her skin as light as air, their feathery softness lightly brushing her hair out of her eyes
Her powerful sinews strained, trying to bring her higher than the clouds
Her fingers swept through them, collecting moisture that beaded in her palm
She then dove, streaking towards the ground before banking two inches above it
She lightly landed, folding her spotted light grey wings behind her
And walked into the house, up the stairs, to the bedroom
And saw herself sleeping
She vanished, leaving herself puzzled with dew brushed palms to gaze out the window into the sky

This poem came from my love of the Maximum Ride books and my dream of becoming like them.
(It's just a dream untill it happens!)
