Breathe Colors
It's hard to write the words,
When no one understands,
When no one hears the screams,
From the mouth of my right hand,
Breathe, my words, come alive.
Surprise the eyes,
With your ability to shine,
See red on fire with rage,
And blue on shattered hearts,
with sorrow.
See black in a dismal cage,
With understanding of a worse tomorrow,
See gold with happiness,
And green with envy.
See a lovers kiss,
Taste a hero's victory,
Breathe, my words.
Show the world your strength.
Breathe, dammit.
Show the world your power.
Bring the skyscrapers, a headstone for our world,
Bring them crashing down, a show for the boys and girls.
But, alas my words stay quiet,
All the colors are silent,
I cannot make them breathe.
It's hard to write the words,
When no one understands,
When no one hears the screams,
From my right hand.
