the constant struggle
Sitting their crying she said this just isn’t right,
We exchanged love, yet we’re broken tonight.
And loving you seems like a constant fight
But we need each other like darkness needs the light.
Someone once told me that best things in life are hard to gain,
Maybe true love has to endure a little pain.
Then again maybe I’m wrong,
Maybe I just want you like a corny love song.
but this isn’t a song, this is real life,
and people make up lies because truth cuts like a knife
but just because I don’t need you doesn’t mean I don’t want you,
and just because I want you doesn’t mean I need you.
While I’m still stuck here you’ve already taken flight,
While I’m still fighting tears your heart is alright.
