"Don't blame America. It's teens. Teens are hormonal Hitlers." - My Best Friend from Texas

A heart you've stolen,
A heart you will break.
I'll never learn my lesson,
Not to give myself away.

Looks are deceiving,
It applies to everyone.
A mastermind myself,
I must've forgotten that precaution.

You seemed so innocent,
So soft, so perfect.
But you're an actress with experience,
It makes you dangerous.

A creature as wise as an owl,
Sly like a fox,
Intoxicating like snake poison,
and vicious like a tiger.

Though you're sweet like chocolate,
Gentle like a cotton ball.
You, my dear, are a rose,
And I got pricked by your thorns.

I recently broke up with my girlfriend, and she was a huge part of my life. I messed up horribly. My class just started poetry, and I kind of got into it. It's a new hobby for me, and free verse has got to be my specialty. Hope you enjoyed it. :)
