Silence consumes.
When all else goes it is there.
Swallowing me whole.
Bringing out my darkest fears.
Draining me of all energy.
All alone left to my own devices.
Silence consumes.
Its bite is that of a venomous snake.
And his poison quickly floods my veins.
Paralyzing my body.
Leaving me.
Slowly breaking me down.
Silence consumes.
It fills me with darkness.
Killing me.
Slowly but surely.
Silence consumes.

The author's comments:
Teens struggle with depression everyday. And silence is something that contributes to depression. I have MDD. Which is Major Depressive Disorder. And I know what silence does.
