Thoughts
My heart beat slows to a crawl as I lay in my bed
Despite familiar surrondings, I find it hard to find a place to lay my head
A thousand thoughts race around my brain, fighting for attention.
Girlfriends, parents, grades, sports, even my last detention
All of this makes me think of what life is truly about
Why do we do what we do, why is our nature so harsh? It makes me want to shout
So i lay back down, as my head continues to spin
As my chances for survival are made forever slim
