Shelter from the night lies not always in the light.
Shelter from the night is not courage or defeat;
It lies within the maker
Of this black and soundless beat.
It lies within the hopeless,
The ones who don't look back,
The ones who have a purpose.
Therefore it lies within us all,
Beating on the cage we make for our emotions.
A shelter locked up tight,
Unused, the fixes rusted.
