Silently Listening

More by this author
Isolated from the rest of society,
No need to keep track of days,
No need to worry about local news.
Stuck here in this deep forest.
Right here in this old mill.

My brother and I go out to play,
We’re like two peas in a pod.
Always together,
Always will be.

Right here in this old mill.

Just sit here,
On the grass that feels like silk,
Underneath the clouds that looks like marshmallows.
Flowers that smells so yummy that you could almost eat them.
Right here in this old mill.

Do you hear that?
It’s the birds screeching,
The water dancing through the rocks,
It’s my mother calling us in for dinner.
Right here in this old mill.
