My Friend
He was my best friend
We would eat shrimp and pretend
That we were on a ship
Going on a nice trip
He was so small
But faster than them all
But very fun to hold
When he would sleep in my hand
I would place him in the sand
And let him sleep all day
Until he was ready to play
He was my best friend
And then there was the end
He had to go away and I didn’t
Know what to say
I was very sad because he was a great friend I had
But I know he'll be ok and I'll see him again one day
