Body Image
5’5” 132 lbs.
There is a history of twins in my family,
that means wide hips.
Red hair, artificial.
Dimple on my left cheek,
genuine.
Size 5 jeans, size small tees.
If I were to model, if I miraculously
grew 5 inches,
I would be categorized as
plus-sized.
I am comfortable with my body image,
the world is not.
Change society, change expectations,
because there is nothing about me that I would change.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this after looking at the differences between actresses in the 50s and actresses now; the change in body image and weight is drastic, and I wish more girls would realize that being healthy is beautiful, not being skinny.
