Favorite Quote:
"Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin - more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man."
Bertrand Russell

When i’m alone in the evening
i marry the bleeding horizon,
orpheus reflected in the sun as he
sucks his thumb and cuts across
the azure, rays like lithium fingers
grasping onto the notches in
threadbare spine, needles,
roof-icicles, several lonely women
like me. Like cosmic orpheus,
you could have been my sky.
I wanted nothing more than to cut you
and suck salty darkness from
your wounds and bloom like a flower
underneath your skin and write
love songs in the language i learned
at the nape of your neck.
The night is thirsty, i am parched.
I carry you still in the back
of my throat, like eggshells,
a fragile word left unspoken,
unswallowed. Vitreous darling,
you are still the knife smiling
against my spine-notches,
and if you could slice me like the
sun i swear i’d speak your name
across the sky.
