Darkness ascends as I enter

the classroom

Benjamin Benjamin
the classroom whispers

Why does my mind
insist on thinking of benjamin
as more than a friend

Shut up!
I yell at the world

I hate him
I love him

I don’t know what to think anymore
my mind seems to argue with everything I say

This is torture

The author's comments:
I'm putting together this story of a boy named Mason Gonzalez, who seems to have fallen into a rut when he starts to feel out of place in his body he doesn't feel like mason but an intruder. These poems show how he progressed throughout the cycle of finding out his sexuality the hard way.
