I could tell by the way you smiled
everything was alright
I could tell by the way you cried
I messed up
I could tell by the unreplied to texts
I said the wrong thing
I could tell by how you avoided me
your mad at me
I could tell by the look in your eyes
This may be our last day
I could tell by the seriousness in your voice
This is truly the end
I could tell by the new smile
You found someone new
I could tell by how you watched me
you miss me already
I could tell by how you begged
you want me
You should know by the look in my eye
Your dead to me

The author's comments:
This poem is supposed to show the progress of a relationship whether it be for a friendship or love. It shows from them being happy to a break up to missing each other to one being over the other. I hope this poem gives many teenage girls even guys the courage to get over their ex and just move on. This poem is meant to show its not the hard to get over a break up
