Favorite Quote:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

-
Jeremiah 29:11-14

Christmas spirit in a jar
like the sparkle of the Christmas star
Smells like gingerbread cookies and candy canes
The whistle of the electric train
Lights illuminate the warmth within
the mischievous gleam of the Grinch’s grin
And when shaken a flurry of snow
dances around the lights aglow
A roaring fireplace to make s’mores
Brightly wrapped presents scattered around the floor
The soothing presence of a family that surrounds
and the harmony of laughter that resounds.

Christmas spirit in a jar
to carry into the months afar.

This poem was inspired by a quote by Harlan Miller:
“I wish we could put up some of the Christmas spirit in jars and open a jar of it every month.”
