The Big Book
It all starts suddenly with a chapter or so,
We don’t remember much but we were young and yet to understand,
That you cannot change who you are,
You are writing your story with every word you speak,
Every piece of air you breathe,
Every pound of the loving heart that you beat
But many of us realize this when it’s too late:
that our past is not what shapes our future,
It’s the story of the past that does; not the pictures.
