"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Feet flying over carpet. Carpet turns to forest, forest turns to mountains, mountains turn to ocean. Jump, spin, turn. Ballerina move from long ago. Take off again. My room, my rules. No limits. Princess to Dragon, Dragon to Ninja, Ninja to Knight, Knight to Mage. My room, my rules. Jump, spin, fall. Get up again. Walk it off. Pain becomes inspiration, inspiration becomes dance. Insert myself into the stories. Fighter, lover, killer, baker. Impossible, improbable, me. Sharp turn, dodge the knife. Jump, fly. My room, my rules. No fear, no anger, no sadness. Joy, love, right. Dance for freedom, dance for joy, dance because I can. Bed, computer, read a chapter. Jump up, dance. Sick, dance. Morning, noon, night, dance. My room, my rules.

I originally write this for a scholarship. This piece represents the freedom which I feel by dancing in my room, which has become my sanctuary.
