The Art Is Lost
Write from the heart,
Write from the soul,
Write from the mind,
They don’t care,
“Just write it!”
They say,
This is great,
Ignorant of hidden secrets,
relevant innuendos.
Just barrel on through,
No savoring,
Focusing on the obscene,
Totally unaware,
Of an award-winning novel,
Bee-lining instead,
To the steamy,
Dreamy,
Vampires.
Is it not enough,
That reading is considered lame,
But that technology,
Rots the brain away.
What happened,
To shining knights,
Or powerful witches,
Thrilling romance,
Lost,
In the modern world.
The art is lost,
Unreturnable
