Looking Through
I lay restless on my bed, staring at the
wall; wondering when the rain will fall.
blazing bright, I quickly close my eyes,
fearing the light that comes close
to my sight. I gently rock back and forth
to the tune that surrounds my head.
the wind lets itself in as I am suddenly
overwhelmed by the warm breeze
kissing the contours of my face. Looking
through, the sound of waves
develop me into their mystic ways.
it carries me to the heart
of it all, the sun breaking through
the barriers of the ocean mist.
It illuminates the quiet sea floor,
the seaweed swaying in its
clutch. I quickly open my eyes, gasping
for air. I swiftly spin,
narrowing my eyes at the open window;
the breeze acting like nothing
happen. Tip-toeing to the window,
I inflict a smile on my face
As the wind starts to capture me
For its next ride.
