Outer/Inner me
Tall, Lanky, Awkward
Acne-Scarred and Skinny.
My laughter crackles from my mouth,
Like a kettle popcorn exploding.
Tennis playing, drum carrying
Moving with a purpose
To a destination only I can see.
Exhausted from my expenditures
Of Time and Energy.
Laughing I may be, but wary,
Because I always need to belong.
Arrogant to a point
I always know beat.
Knowledge and books and the unknown
Intrigue and delight me,
Always.
