My father said I had her laugh,
witty, but very appealing,
as if you always wanted her to laugh, and never stop,
never stop,

When she'd speak,
all eyes were on her,
and when she laughed,
oh, how quiet it became,
because everyone wanted to hear her laugh,

She did stop, stop laughing,
suddenly, on a gloomy day,
She lost her glow, her natural beauty,
It just left her, flew away, with all the other leaves,
The sun left with her,
She became full of sorrow, and worry,

No one knew why,
why, and how, so suddenly,
the world's charm was lost, vanished,
into thin air,
as though it were never there,
why so suddenly, everything was lost,
everything gone
