My heart is filled with a great sadness
From whence it came I know not
It is as if every wound or hurt my heart ever felt has been reopened
As if all the joy I have ever felt is gone and the memories covered in a shadowy darkness
But then a light pierces the darkness and creates a shining beacon of hope, laughter, love
And the darkness is enveloped in light and my heart is released from the chains of misery
And becomes light and free, soaring above the hurts like an eagle in flight
And the world does not seem so dark

I started writing this while having a bad day but ended up being what I picture true sadness to be like. The end, I feel, shows hope to people who feel sad or depressed, kind of like light at the end of the tunnel.
