I am a river
always flowing and on the move
Giving back to those who
are loyal to me
Hearing life all around
Engulfing me with warmth
and praise
At times, I feel polluted
Overflowing with fears and worry
sometimes loosing control
Gaining speed and drowning myself
in my own tears
I don't know where I'm going
Just going wherever the current
takes me
Not knowing where I'll end up
Living life to the fullest and
getting the most out of it
Somtimes i wonder...
What would it be like to be the sky?
Stretching over lands and mountains
Watching over the ones I love
I envy the sky
Then I remember I'm a river
I'm proud to be what I am
Not caring what others think
