The Rattle

After every significant event-
A rattle
Voices, minds, truths, lies, poetry, songs, speaking out, following along, making plans, screaming, shouting
Then calm,
Slowly calm
As the rattle reverberates down
From clatter to shudder
Until minds are lit again
Yes, I know where I want my place to be
Now or when im older or eventually
Shaking the earth and making
A rattle
Constantly, so the minds stay alert,
So periods of enlightenment burn bright
Through day and night
And we never calm down again
