Twisted Heart
I put my heart into everything I do
Of course I gave my heart to you
You held it long
and made it strong
And then twisted, hard
Muscle and muscle and love marred
Your hands imprinted before you could return
my heart so I got to learn
the pain that love could supply.
But you made me stronger, next time
I won’t cry
