I am always in awe
I wish I was so

 simple,

 like the Watermelon seeds

 And I never bothered wiping up my fears and hiding the

 baby blue

 printed napkins,

 dropping them into the depths, between all the

 trash in the waste bin so people wouldn't find them.

 I am always in awe at our rituals

 and habits comforted by time

 And the way the Japanese place so much

 significance in sakura

 And how every person has a

 sacred grief

 And how all the apple peels

 that are thrown away

 return to us in trees,

 in that endless cycle of peels

 and skin in plastic bags.
