Where I'm From
Peach dumplings and Kolaches
Red and white stroganoff
A clash of my three worlds in one
I descend from a loving mother and two dads
One who will never truly be there
And one who always will
I came from hiding in the bathroom cabinets
Fishing everyday
And all the time in the world
That’s were I learned
To stand strong in the rain
With my head held high
Even if the tears may fall
To love who I am
Love through the hate, judgment and disappointment
It’s where I learned to forgive but not ever forget
I am not from a place nor time
I do not have experiences
I do not have memories
I am my experiences and memories
Life is like a picture and experience a crayon
The color doesn’t always stay in the lines you intend it to go in
But it doesn’t make it any less beautiful
