I’ve sang the songs of angels
And struck melodious tunes
Notes that drip fluidly from the heavens
And yet the sweetest one is you
Your heartbeat is my melody
That strikes through my brain
The one stuck in my head that I carry through the day
You’re the rhythm of my life that puts me to rest
And when in sadness, can transform me to my best

And yet this song makes me docile
And strikes me to my knees
Waiting for the day
You’ll hear the refrain in my key
