intelligence plus character, that is the goal to true education.
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Morning chills,
oh I love the way it feels.
Sky so blue,
how I wish I were you;
and I can only stay so long,
because at the end of forever, I'll already be gone.
But lovely, before I leave, I'm gonna stand and shout.
I want the world to know who I am,
not one will have their doubts.
And this is how I'll live,
not any other way.
I'm a daisy in a field of roses;
I wont listen to a word they say.
One day I will climb, one day I will fly.
I'll be the one to show, you never know what lies inside.
I'll make my mother proud, one day there will be a sign;
I know there's a reason, that I was left behind.
One day, time will run out.
I'll no longer be aloud to shout.
But then, I wont need to,
everyone will have seen what I can do.
Because I am a daisy in a field of roses, and I will shine.
There's always a reason, why one unnoticed flower, gets left behind.

My inspiration for this piece actually came from without me. A while back I lost my little brother and a few years after that i lost my mom too. Somewhere between that time, I lost myself along with them and it took me a while to find myself again and realize I was left here for a reason and I have to search until I find that reason.

The last two lines were perfect. I'm sorry to hear about what happened, but I'm thrilled to see you've turned a horrible thing into something that will make you stronger and more resilient.
