Winter Days
It’s the first big snow fall of the year.
As the first snowflakes fall,
kids smile in hopes of lots of snow.
Waking up to the gray clouds,
yet the snow reflects, making it bright.
Snow swiftly glides off the roof tops.
Every branch has a layer of snow.
The snow sparkles as if it was glitter.
Birds leave tracks trying to find food.
Kids already making snowmen and snow angles
as the wind turns their checks bright pink.
Snow couldn’t be more beautiful,
if only it didn’t melt away.
