Hide and Go Seek
Wrapped up in the thoughts o yesterday's tomorrow.
The things you said never would, did.
You said forever.
We're you lying kid?
So tired of thinking about something my heart can't let go.
Hide and go seek but you tucked yourself away.
Please come out
Please come out and play.
Look at you now.
Oh how you've grown.
Those eyes still put the stars to shame.
You hurt me once,
But I know I am to blame.
Hair grown so long.
Bones grown so strong.
Why was it that I did you wrong?
How come I strung you along?
You know my hand is where your heart belongs.
Your smile still shines.
But your face is cold as stone.
You look so scared.
So afraid.
And all alone.
