A Word to the Wise
I have spent two years of my life
Feeling absolutely nothing.
No anger, nor joy.
No frustration, nor relief.
I cried tears of no emotion,
Living without life.
So please take my word,
Despite all it's cliches.
Tune out the world for a moment,
And listen oh so close.
For the second it is truly silent,
You just might hear your heart.
If you might be that lucky,
Take what you now know,
and just go on your way. Just go.
