the one who stood alone

I look around and see the shadows of many.
engulfed in fear , the fear of standing alone.
waiting for a ray of light to shine on me, to break me from the darkness in which I stand.
thou many a man I try to reach, the darkness takes a toll on me.
yet I try to break thy darkness myself, the more I fear it
many a day has past since I first saw the sun.
yet I believe one followed by many shall break of this prison and the sun shall shine for me once again
