Showers to Flowers
The clouds are heavy, filled
with great despair that dwells within.
They gather like a flock of sheep
forming a tenebrous sky.
one hour, two hours, six hours,
ever so slowly advancing
through the blue field.
The light is concealed with a dark shadow
that blankets the Earth.
Finally, they cannot hold anymore
and the tears run free,
drenching the streets with pain and misery.
Once the rain has run its course
it withdraws.
Eventually, the sun arises from its slumber
and retakes the dark
that has taken command.
And so a new day begins.
