Downward Spiral
Wiping the tears from her cheek,
He smiles.
Knowing, that smile
Could never take back the pain he just caused.
Only the light brush on her lips
Could make her understand
The regret he feels. Unable to reverse
What has already been said and done.
Her pain is like a brick on his shoulders,
Unable to shake off.
Only capable of seeing
Himself with her by his side.
His arms around her use to feel protective,
But now are like a iron cage.
Those eyes which use to be inviting-
Now a black, lifeless opening she is falling into,
Never to return to this kind of love.
