“She says nothing at all, but simply stares upward into the dark sky and watches, with sad eyes, the slow dance of the infinite stars.” - Neil Gaiman

So fervently
she writes down her feelings
hoping
that they will fade
as soon as she admits to them
Her hands tremble
and her eyes water
The ink from her pen
mixes with her tears
as she pours her cluttered soul
on a tiny piece of paper
Finally finished,
she reads her words
Terror.
The flames of the fire
eat up the truth that scares her
Ashes
that's all that remains
ashes

This is a poem about how scared someone can be of the truth that they hold inside, and how mcuh they want to keep it hidden
