Sunshine through the rain (to my mother)
Sunshine through the rain (to my mother)
It’s been a while since we’ve seen the sun shine,
Skies have been wild,
That’s why I tend to reminisce as a child
When we could actually crack a smile,
But thru the tribulations and trails,
Still we stand,
You can’t fill my shoes,
It takes some big feet just to fill these Vans,
I know times are hard,
The problems and all the bills we have,
But this isn’t forever,
I’ll die just to fulfill these plans,
You made due with the worst,
Came thru with your best,
You stayed true to your words,
And kept all the screws in your head,
For that, I forever thank you,
I can never go repay you,
Just know we’re headed to the top,
Keep faith in where I’m about to take you.
