Last play

I am sitting in the darkness
Listening to the voices in the light.
Are they fading?

I am scared of the light
Choking my voice,
I wait in the darkness.
Are the lights dimming?

A huge roar
Blocking any other sound,
Then silence.
The lights no more,
I start to panic.

The curtain up
The lights on me,
Darkness no longer my friend.

It is time,
Once more before the end.
