Over You
You were my rock I laid on when things got tough.
I was your diamond in the rough.
You were my shield that kept me from pain.
I was your girl who probably drove you insane.
It was a perfect love, as perfect as can be.
Little did I know happiness was ending for me.
Now we are separated and I finally realize,
All those things you said were just a bunch of lies.
You hurt me real bad, but I will no longer sigh.
I will no longer weep I will no longer cry.
I am happy now, and next time I’ll know what to do.
I won’t fall too fast, or cry over someone like you.
