I saw you there across the room
and I started to bloom
I knew what I had to do,
I came to talk to you
I said “How you doing?”
I waited, but you said nothing.
I started to walk away
and I thought today was the day
But then I heard you say
“Please stay”
I was too late,
Because girl you already had a date
I didn't know what to do,
It was hard to look at you.
I realized that I made a mistake,
Oh, how I miss that chocolate cake!
