You (A Poem)

You're the one reeling
through my head,
I hate you so much,
I wish my feelings for you were dead

But I would never wish death,
on somebody I liked,
every bad thing you do,
is like a stab with a knife.

I'm afraid to love,
because of more pain,
with love there is only loss,
there is no gain.

Love is but and endless pit
And I will always try to escape it

But try as I may,
and try as I might,
I cannot forget you,
no, not tonight.

And so I dedicate this to you,
you unknown person,
who brought me through.

Now I'm a mess,
I hope your happy,
you messed with my head,
not too shabby.

It wasn't your fault
that I ended up like this,
and in your heart,
something's amiss.

When/if you read this,
you know who you are.
I wished for you,
on a shooting star.

Or maybe you don't know,
you're thick in the head,
thicker than I am,
and that makes me dread

ever handing you a note,
or even to speak,
I look you in the eyes,
startled at my technique.

I can speak clearly,
I can hide it real well,
the day you might notice,
will be frozen in hell.

But you'd never notice,
my feelings are hidden
you could never tell,
that I was smitten.

I feel like a ninja,
in Anna's own skin,
hiding her feelings,
keeping calmness within

Sometimes I wonder...
Sometimes I try...
If I were with you...
would it feel like I could fly...?

Wow. This was a really powerful poem! I think everyone who's ever had a crush can relate to it. It's so clear and concise but with still a little mystery and guessing. Very well written(:
