Stop Kony 2012
You say you care
but you live in a life
of comfort.
You don't know
what it's like
to want to die;
to be afraid
to sleep at night.
You don't know
what it's like
to be hungry;
to feel pain;
to see a sibling
SLAUGHTERED before your eyes.
You don't know
what it's like
to have no future,
no reason to live;
To pray that YOU
will be the next to die.
We don't know
what it is to live,
what it is to breath.
We say we care
but only if it affects us,
only if WE can benefit.
We will only try
if it is a threat to us,
to our safety, our finance.
We don't know
what it is to care;
to fight,
to love,
to hope,
to pray,
to BELIEVE!
We don't know
what it's like
to lose our child
to a monster,
to the devil,
to pure evil.
We don't know
what it's like
to hold a knife
to our friends' throat,
put a gun to their face
and know
it's either ME or YOU.
We don't know
what it's like
to have the power
of ending a life
FORCED upon us.
We don't know
what it's like
to not have freedom,
or love,
or life.
We don't know
what it's like
to KNOW.
