Lost Soul
I stare into your eyes trying to find
 The old you.
The you who used to love me with all
 Your heart.
The you that used to care about me.
The you who used to want to protect me from anything and everything
Not be the one causing all the pain

The you who used to kiss me with such longing
And passion no one else could match
I wish I could find the old you
But you have retreated to the depths of your soul.

As the snow falls slowly around us,
I turn away, hiding as the rest of my love
 Falls away in tears.

Then I slowly walk away hoping like
Old times you’d come running after me,
But no you let me walk away
You let me do the one thing you were
Scared I would do from the very beginning,

 You let me leave.
